MDWF21001 Introduction to Midwifery

Course details

This course provides the student with the knowledge to recognise the historical perspectives and their influences on contemporary midwifery and its practices. It assists the student to recognise the trends and issues within Remote and Rural of Australia along with their effects on childbearing, parenting and childrearing and their processes have on the role and responsibilities of the midwife when providing care. There is a compulsory 5 day residential school attached to this course.
