COIS21001 Web Applications for Business

Course details

This course focuses on the range of technologies and skills currently being used to build and deploy web based software applications for business. As the World Wide Web provides global access to a wide variety of applications, it has developed into an attractive platform for business application deployment. Students will use a high level set of software tools and technologies to develop robust and effective business applications that can contend with security threats and usage fluctuations that complicate their design. Both theoretical and practical aspects of Web application development will be assessed. An ability to download and install open source software is mandatory.
