Course details

This course looks at how media and cultural industries work, and the way they impact on, and interact with, individuals. It explores the ways in which communication and cultural practices work together to make meaning and values, and shape our attitudes and behaviours. The course will look at television, advertising, and popular music. The insights, concepts and terms learned in this course can be applied in many areas such as business, education, and psychology.
