ENTM12004 Thermodynamics

Course details

This course introduces students to the basic concepts of thermodynamics. After studying this course, students should be able to perform relevant calculations based on appropriate thermodynamic concepts, which include the forms of available energy, energy transfer, its utilisation in engineering applications, and the principles of operation of heat engines. This course will also develop an understanding of the analysis of heat transfer in thermodynamic systems and to develop specific competencies in analysing energy transfers between two fluids, during combustion processes, steam generation and refrigeration.
