SWHS22005 Human services: Inddependent study and research 2

Course details

Students will identify and propose an area of independent study and research in human services and negotiate the format of assignment work with the course coordinator. Students will critically review contemporary literature within their proposed area of study and critique the conceptual and theoretical frameworks underpinning knowledge and practice in that area. Drawing on this work, students will develop, implement and report upon a project relating to human services delivery and which can be applied in the workplace. Examples of projects include (but are not limited to): a funding submission, a program evaluation, an innovation in a particular area of service delivery, or a critical analysis of an agency’s policies or procedures and their implications.
