ENTC13016 Surveying

Course details

This course gives students opportunities to develop skills required to conduct basic surveys, record survey data, prepare plans, sections and contours from survey data, and set out basic construction works. They interpret maps, plans and survey information and describe application of GPS and other advanced surveying tools to engineering projects. Students will maintain clear, accurate records of surveying information, calculations and procedures and work professionally both independently and in teams.
Distance education (FLEX) students will be required to have access to a computer, to make frequent use of the Internet. They are also required to attend a residential school.
