Course details

The controlled reproduction of species of interest to aquaculturalists is an essential part of management strategies. A knowledge of the reproduction of these organisms in the wild state and then, manipulation of systems and organisms to produce stock in culture parallels other primary industries. Practical work involves maintenance and supply of broodstock, hatchery and larval rearing techniques. Disease identification and control procedures are discussed.
