CULT20024 The Cultural Production of Popular Music

Course details

This course focuses on the cultural production of popular music as a major socio-cultural activity and international creative industry. Students will undertake an examination of their own cultural uses of music and explore and analyse how music events are culturally produced, conceptualised and consumed. The course aims to provide students with conceptual and analytical skills useful for linking their own experiences of creative arts with the cultural production of popular music events.
