Entry requirement
Primary Focus
A three-year undergraduate degree from a recognised tertiary institution.
Secondary Focus
A three-year undergraduate degree from a recognised tertiary institution that demonstrates sufficient knowledge development in two recognisable teaching areas. A teaching area must consist of 6 or more courses studied within the applicants undergraduate degree program.
Vocational Education and Training Focus
A three-year undergraduate degree from a recognised tertiary institution that demonstrates sufficient knowledge development in a recognisable Secondary/VET curriculum area, plus a completed Certificate IV in Assessment and Training.

Entry to this program is based on an appropriate GPA. Students must be able to, if the qualification is more than the age of 10 years, demonstrate currency of that qualification.
This program can only be studied within Australia.
Computer requirements
It is a requirement of enrolment in this program that all students have access to the CQU website via the Internet. Students will be required to undertake various components of study in the program using email and the Internet.
Residential schools
There are three compulsory residential schools which are mandatory for this program. These residential schools will only be held at CQU Rockhampton with the first being scheduled for Orientation Week.
Residential School 1 - Orientation to Program - Monday, 25 to Thursday, 28 February (inclusive) 4 days;
Residential School 2 - Mid-program - Monday, 30 June to Wednesday, 2 July (inclusive) 3 days; and
Residential School 3 - Pre-Internship - Monday, 22 to Wednesday, 24 September (inclusive) 3 days.
Note:
Part-time students commencing in 2008 must attend:

Residential School 1: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday;

Residential School 2: Monday and Tuesday morning;

Residential School 3: do not need to attend.
Part-time students who are in their second year in 2008 must attend:

Residential School 1: Thursday only;

Residential School 2: Tuesday and Wednesday;

Residential School 3: Monday 22 to Wednesday 24 September (inclusive) 3 days
In school placement
Placement arrangements for full-time students:
School term 2 - 32 days (3 days per week for 11 weeks)
School term 3 - 24 days (3 days per week for 8 weeks)
School term 4 - 30 day internship (5 days per week for 6 weeks)
Placement arrangements for part-time students:
Year 1 of study:
School term 2 - 16 days
School term 3 - 16 days
Year 2 of study:
School term 2 - 16 days
School term 3 - 8 days
School term 4 - 30 day internship (5 days per week for 6 weeks)
