Computing requirements

It is a requirement of enrolment in this program that students have access to the CQU website.  Students will be expected to undertake various components of study in the degree using email, Blackboard and the Internet.  Recommended web browsers are: Internet Explorer 5.0 or above or Netscape 4.5 or 4.7 and above (not version 6.0).

 

Application for credit transfer

Credit transfer will only be granted where a student is able to demonstrate that tertiary studies undertaken equivalent in content and depth to the CQU courses within this program have been successfully completed.  Students should examine the course synopses in this handbook to determine the courses for which they may be eligible to claim exemption. For more information about credit transfer contact the program advisor.

 

Residential school

There are 3 courses with a compulsory residential school these are HMSC11034, OCHS12002 and OCHS13010.  Residential dates for these courses are documented within the residential school timetable http://handbook.cqu.edu.au/Handbook/schools.jsp.  For OCHS13010 there is a two week block as per the residential school timetable.  Students must have successfully completed the prerequisites OCHS13008 and OCHS13016 and be currently enrolled in OCHS13010 to be eligible to attend the Applied Worksite Analysis (OCHS13010) residential school.

Any deferment of the Residential schools must have prior approval by the Program Director.  Any deferment beyond the approved mutually agreed terms will automatically result in the grade being changed to AF (Absent Fail).

 

Please note

  1. Students successfully completing a combination of the courses OCHS12001, OCHS12005, OCHS12002, OCHS13011 (elective), may be eligible to apply for an interim award, Certificate of OHS (CU26).
  2. Students are advised to take the courses in the pre-defined order thus acquiring the knowledge that will be assumed in the presentation of course material at advanced levels.  Students will be individually responsible for gaining the assumed entry-level knowledge of any course they elect to take out of sequence.  For more information or assessment of prior learning, please contact the specific course coordinator.
  3. Students must have successfully completed the prerequisites OCHS13008 and OCHS13016 to enrol in OCHS13010 .
