Compulsory residential school
The following courses have a compulsory residential school:

Note: the residential schools for HMSC12007/HMSC12008 and HMSC13021/HMSC13022 are run consecutively in the same week.

See the residential school timetable for details at http://handbook.cqu.edu.au/pages/ugunittimetable.html.  Compulsory residential schools held in Rockhampton are conducted for these courses taken by external students.

Students are advised to take the courses in the pre-defined order thus developing the knowledge that will be assumed in the Advanced Level courses.

Note: there are few prerequisites for courses offered in the Human Movement Science program, however the program builds upon a sequence of prior assumed knowledge from previous courses. Students are advised to take the courses in the pre-defined order thus acquiring the knowledge that will be assumed in the presentation of course material at Advanced Levels. Students will be individually responsible for gaining the assumed entry-level knowledge of any course they elect to take out of sequence. For more information or assessment of prior learning, please contact the specific Course Coordinator.

Students enrolled in an OCHS or HMSC course having a residential school requirement must complete the residential school within 18 months of commencing the course. After this time the result will automatically be changed to AF (Absent Fail).

Computing requirements
It is a requirement of enrolment in this program that students have access to the CQU website. Students will be expected to undertake various components of study in the degree using email, Blackboard and the Internet. Recommended web browsers are: Internet Explorer 5.0 or above or Netscape 4.5 or 4.7 and above (not version 6.0).

Application for credit transfer
Credit transfer will only be granted where a student is able to demonstrate that tertiary studies, equivalent in content and depth to the CQU program, have been successfully completed. Students should examine the course synopses in this handbook to determine the courses for which they may be eligible to claim exemption. For more information about credit transfers contact the Program Administrator.
