CF47 - Bachelor of Engineering (Co-op)/Diploma of Professional Practice (Engineering)

Year 1

These program plans are valid for students entering the program in 2006 or later. For continuing students who entered the program prior to 2006, please refer to the 2006 handbook or contact your Program Advisor for program details.

All students enrol in a common first year and then select a specialist stream. In this year students must complete.

Civil plan

Students choose 1 elective in Year 5 - T1. The elective is expected to contribute an enrichment in the program and thus may be nominated by the students from appropriate courses university wide. This nomination must be requested and approved in writing by the appropriate faculty authority.

Note: the following courses are available in flex mode only: Hydraulics and Traffic Engineering.

Electrical plan

Students choose 1 elective in Year 5 - T1. The elective is expected to contribute an enrichment in the program and thus may be nominated by the student from appropriate courses university wide. This nomination must be requested and approved in writing by the appropriate faculty authority.

Note: the following courses are available in flex mode only: Analogue and Digital Electronics and Data Communication Networks.

Mechanical plan

Students choose 1 elective in Year 5 - T1. The elective is expected to contribute an enrichment in the program and thus may be nominated by the student from appropriate courses university wide. This nomination must be requested and approved of, in writing, by the appropriate Program Advisor.

Note: the following courses are available in flex only: Maintenance Management and Process Engineering and Plants.
