CG45 - Diploma of Learning Design
Program Aim
The Diploma of Learning Design provides students with the knowledge and understanding of:
- theories and practices appropriate for the design of learning in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector;
- theories and practices appropriate for teaching in the VET sector;
- management and evaluation of learning programs at Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) levels 1-6, including effective teaching and learning strategies, curriculum construction and assessment/evaluation procedures;
- the professional work of trainers/teachers and teaching no matter where they are located, including the socio-ethical, legal, financial and security issues in such settings;
- the diagnosis, analysis, design and planning, implementation of learing programs within the sector; and
- effective communication with other professionals and the wider community on learning matters.
Program Structure
The Diploma of Learning Design is an undergraduate program that can be completed in 1 year full-time study or equivalent. The program consists of 8 courses (48 units of credit).
