Course details
In this course students will develop advanced skills in Java programming, supporting Internet application development. The course covers fundamental Java programming topics such as inheritance, polymorphism, graphic user interfaces, event-driven programming, and exception handling. The course also covers advanced Java topics such as the use of data structure in Java, multithreading programming and Internet networking. Students should have access to an Internet enabled PC. The Java2 SDK is available as a free download from the Internet. FOR TERM 1 2008 THIS COURSE WILL BE RUN AS COIT12137 JAVA INTERNET PROGRAMMING BUT UNDER THE NEW NAME. FROM TERM 2 2008 STUDENTS WHO HAVE COMPLETED THE COURSE COIT12137 JAVA INTERNET PROGRAMMING SHOULD NOT ENROL IN THIS COURSE.
