Residential School | All participants are required in conjunction with core social work courses to attend two week-long residential schools each year in Rockhampton. Please refer to the Residential School timetable in this handbook. |
Practicum/Work placement | Field placements are compulsory in years three and four of the program. Each placement is of 14 weeks duration in an agency approved by the University and with supervision by a qualified social worker. Placements may be organised in metropolitan, urban, regional, rural and isolated areas. At least one rural placement is strongly encouraged. |
