HMSC12017 Sport and Exercise Psychology

Course details

Students will gain an understanding of psychological factors that influence performance based on exemplary and contemporary practice. The emphasis will be upon psychological processes and strategies that enhance individual, group and team performance and processes. The role of psychology on injury, disability and illness of athletes will also be introduced. Students will analyse psychological principles as they apply to physical self-enhancement. Attention will be given to coaching behaviour and its effect upon athlete performance. It is a requirement of this course to have access to the CQU website and the Internet.
