ENAC12006 Road Engineering

Course details

This course introduces the design of roads and associated documentation. Students are introduced to traffic analysis, safety, efficiency, environmental and cultural issues and sustainability of road design. They apply design codes and manuals to common design problems involving geometric design of roads, road drainage, intersection design and pavement design and rehabilitation. Students collaborate to prepare plans, compile specifications and estimate quantities and costs.

Distance education (FLEX) students are required to have access to a computer and to make frequent use of the Internet.
