COIT13211 Information Security

Course details

This course covers basic security mechanisms of authentication, certification and encryption; the specific requirements of electronic payment systems, network security, general communication confidentiality and the Web-and-Java-related security issues. A section is devoted to the security aspects of code and customer mobility, specifically mobile agents, mobile devices, and smart cards. The four essential elements of safe electronic commerce: data transaction, servers, clients, and host networks are covered in detail.
