MRKT19050 Introduction to Retailing

Course details

Retailing draws on theoretical and practical knowledge of products, services, pricing, channels of distribution, location and promotion. Personal selling, often associated with retailing, tends to be deemphasised in current teaching and research in preference to questions associated with the retail mix and market dynamics. Within the marketing discipline, retailing relates to consumer behaviour, advertising and promotions, international marketing, marketing research, and services marketing. Other aligned disciplines within the business subject area include accounting for decisions, finance, supply chain management and logistics, and human resource management.
