Course details

This course is designed to ensure that continuing tertiary learners develop the skills to communicate confidently and effectively in a range of contexts, especially those the students may encounter at school settings in Japan. They are also supported in preparation for entry to the linguistic and cultural diversity of the target language community. Students will be presented with a range of communication settings and will encounter a variety of genre, language events and resources. Opportunity will be provided for students to negotiate meaning through communication and interaction. The aim is to facilitate the development of the skills required to engage in spontaneous communication. Accordingly, students will be encouraged to use language creatively to meet their own needs and aspirations.
