OCHS13010 Applied Worksite Analysis

Course details

This course is designed to polish professional practice in occupational health and safety and complement study in ergonomics and occupational hygiene. Construction safety is discussed and coupled with a site visit to a construction project, ergonomic and occupational hygiene principles are applied through site visits. Current trends in workplace health and safety are debated including Behaviour Based Safety and human error. Students may also be given an opportunity to visit industry in the region such as a coal mine and rural workplace. Successful completion of this course may attract WHSO accreditation.All students are required to attend a compulsary block learning period at CQU Rockhampton.
