LOTE11011 Second Language Teaching Methodologies

Course details

The purpose of this course is to introduce students to major and minor issues specific to the field of Language Other than English (LOTE) acquisition. Students will investigate a wide range of methodological approaches to the learning of second language. As well, the role that the individual plays in the learning process and what factors contribute to differential success among second language learners will be examined. Students will develop skills in designing, implementing and evaluating programs of learning in LOTE.
