Course details
The course examines contemporary planning and environment law in Australia's federal legal system, as increasingly integrated and subordinated to the ultimate objective and constraint of ecologically sustainable development, with a focus on the Queensland experience as exemplar. There are three main themes: the system of planning and environmental regulation - urban, regional and natural resources - across three tiers of government; regulatory administration and decision-making processes; enforcement, property rights and dispute resolution.
