COIS13013 Business Intelligence and Knowledge Management

Course details

The course reviews the principles of decision making, modelling, tools in decision analysis, business intelligence, decision support systems (DSS), and knowledge management (KM). Design and implementation issues of management support systems (MSS) are examined, and executive information systems (EIS) and group support systems (GSS) are studied in particular. Students complete practical work using a financial modelling language and an expert system shell, and so require continued access to a computer in order to complete assignments.
