Course details
This course explores the kinds of technological competencies that are required of creative workers now and in the future. It focuses particularly on the underlying logic and purposes of e-learning and how e-learning provides a platform for creativity, innovation and entrepreneurial activity in a 'knowledge society'. The course underscores the importance of managing personal continuing education for creatives in the creative enterprises.
While providing you with opportunities to expand and enhance your existing repertoire of technological competencies and explore the dimensions that e-learning provides, the course also encourages you to continue to reflect upon the cultural and critical dimensions of technological literacies. You will examine the different ways in which industries have traditionally responded to various technologies, and highlight key patterns relating to the adoption, adaption, rejection or stabilisation of various technological innovations.
This is a course that is intensely practical as well as usefully theoretical, and one that will provide you with opportunities to develop, display, refine and reflect upon skills associated with the meaningful use of technology and online learning.
