ENVR11012 Environmental Science B

Course details

This course describes and discusses the application of science to environmental problems caused by human activities and investigates solutions. Development of practical skills in the laboratory and the field is an integral part of the course. Topics covered are: energy and biomass flow in terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems; water resources and pollution; land degradation (joint field trip); the soil environment; formation and degradation; pesticide, plastics and disposal of solid wastes.NOTE: Bridging courses are available for students who do not have a strong background in biology, chemistry, or physics or who have been away from study for an extended period.
