STAT12051 Experimental Design and Analysis

Course details

This course introduces the principles and procedures involved in designing experimental studies and the subsequent methods of statistical analysis. The designs examined are completely randomised, randomised block, latin square, incomplete block and split plot. Factorial treatment structures are considered along with the issues of confounding and fractional replication. Methods of checking the validity of assumptions are discussed. Emphasis is on designing experiments to meet objectives, carrying out the statistical analysis and interpreting the results.
