DNCE12010 Dance in Music Theatre

Course details

Through studying this course students will acquire extensive knowledge about the use of dance within the music theatre genre. This course will outline the emphasis of dance in assisting in story telling. The students will study the historical development of music theatre dance, and be required to evaluate various social and cultural significances. With the ability to evaluate style and the ability to perform it competently, these will then be applied to students' own creative work.
