COIS20024 Systems Management Overview

Course details

On completion of this course students should possess a sound knowledge of the concepts relating to the management and organisational use of computer-based information systems. Students will study the management of information systems and their use in a rapidly changing business environment. This provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to apply a critical analytical perspective to the strategic use of information systems based on a thorough understanding of theory and contemporary practice. This is achieved through the research and analysis of current literature, and applying the knowledge to practice. The course fosters independent thought and inquiry to critically evaluate differing types of information systems and the roles that they play in a businesss environment.
