Course details
The fundamental knowledge of the scientific understanding of human development as a branch of psychology is presumed, especially, the lifespan approach. This course introduces students to the process of human development with a more domain focused and research oriented approach. Both the historical and current issues of human development are explored within the main domains of perceptual, cognitive, personality, and social development. Developmental research methods are highlighted through both readings and certain practical research project. Critical evaluation of research literature within the field is emphasised. It is a requirement of enrolment in the course that students have access to the CQU World Wide Web site via the Internet.
