Continuing students will be able to continue to undertake their studies as originally planned (MGMT20124 People, Work and Organisations can be used to replace MGMT20093 Managing in a Dynamic Environment) or make some modifications to suit the new structure without disadvantage.
Elective notes
Electives may include:
- all electives must be taken from the Information Systems or Information Technology discipline areas. This means postgraduate COIS and COIT courses or postgraduate ECOM courses with a significant component of Information Systems or Information Technology.
- Students must complete 5 of the 6 courses of the Graduate Diploma of Information Systems in the areas of Information Technology, Information Systems or Electronic Commerce to constitute a major in a computing related discipline.
- Students who began the program prior to Autumn, 2000 will be allowed to graduate under the previous structure if they wish, or choose to graduate under the present structure.
Computer equipment resources
Students will require access to a computer and printer. Access to the Internet is required.
The suggested minimum requirement is an IBM compatible computer. Hardware and software specifications change rapidly. Therefore, if buying a new computer, students should purchase the best quality and highest capacity they can afford.
CQU campuses have computers which may be accessed by students on a 24 hour basis.
