Program Aim
The Bachelor of Business program is Central Queensland University's premier business management program. The program allows students to undertake studies in a wide range of business and management related fields, which in turn provides students with a wide range of career opportunities. The program also provides students with membership pathways to numerous professional bodies, ensuring that upon completing the program, students receive not only an academic qualification, but recognition of their skills and knowledge within their chosen profession.
The program provides a flexible degree pathway, offering a diverse range of courses and providing students the opportunity to develop a broad range of skills relating to the modern business environment.
Program Structure
To satisfy the requirements for the award, students must complete a program of 23 courses (144 units of credit) which comply with the requirements stated below.
Students must complete:
- 9 core courses (including 1 double-weighted course)
- 14 courses from one of the following categories:
- 1 x 6 course major from those listed, together with 8 elective courses (of which at least 4 must be at an advanced level)
- 1 x 12 course double major from those listed, together with 2 elective courses (both of which must be at an advanced level)
- 1 x 12 course advanced major from those listed, together with 2 elective courses (both of which must be at an advanced level)

- Economics and Finance (Graduates may be eligible for membership of the Economics Society of Australia and the Australian Institute of Banking and Finance)

- Operations Management (Graduates may be eligible for membership of the Australian Institute of Management)
- Management (Graduates may be eligible for membership of the Australian Institute of Management)
- Procurement and Supply
Advanced Majors
- Advanced Human Resources Management (Program is accredited by Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) - graduates may apply for membership of AHRI)
- Advanced Marketing Management (Graduates may apply for membership of the Australian Marketing Institute and the Australian Market and Social Research Society, and be eligible to receive the Australian Marketing and Social Research Society's Certificate in Market Research upon application to the Society)
- Advanced Information Systems Management (Program is accredited by the Australian Computer Society (ACS) - graduates may apply for membership of the ACS)
- Advanced Procurement and Supply (Program is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) - graduates may apply for membership of CIPS).
