CV09 - Graduate Diploma of Learning and Teaching

Program Aim

Graduates of the Graduate Diploma of Learning and Teaching will be workplace and futures orientated.  As such will have the demonstrated capacity to enhance workplace capability, and a clear focus on designing pedagogical strategies to achieve learning.  Graduates will have knowledge and skills in the use of Dimensions of Learning Instructional Framework.  The specific professional standards that graduates will demonstrate by direct, indirect and supplementary evidence is derived from the Queensland College of Teachers Professional Standards for Graduates document and CQU's existing innovative BLM program.

 

Students will be required to complete extensive professional experience which will normally represent not less than 80 days with a minimum of 55 days in schools and other equivalent educational settings.

Program Structure
To be eligible to graduate with the Graduate Diploma of Learning and Teaching degree, students must complete a total of 48 units of credit (equivalent to 8 x 6 units of credit postgraduate courses).  Students must attend the three compulsory Residential Schools (10 days in total).
