Program Aim
The first two years of this program are common to the Co-op education engineering degree. Students in this program may be invited to transfer to the Co-op program subject to their performance and the availability of work placement.
The Faculty offers the only project-based learning Engineering degrees in Australia. This method of teaching offers the opportunity to learn in context - where you are learning for a reason, not just to pass exams. Teamwork and problem solving skills are learned alongside the technical content in an exciting real-world engineering environment.
A recommended study schedule for this program can be obtained from the Faculty. Students may determine their own schedule based upon credit transfers and personal study requirements.
It is important to note that full-time students usually enrol in 24 units of credit per term and these units will be derived from the Program Structure below.
Program Structure
Students must complete 24 courses (192 units of credit).
Note that Project Based Learning (PBL) courses are equivalent in time commitment and activity requirements to two normal courses.
All students enrol in a common first year and then select a specialist stream.
