Career Opportunities

Skilled teachers, facilitators and learning managers are highly sought.  This is a stimulating, satisfying and rewarding career that provides the opportunity to influence and shape many lives.  With a significant increase in senior school students enrolling in VET programs, the demand for VET teachers who are also qualified to teach in the school sector is high.  Employment can be found in TAFE, schools and with industry training providers.  Other employment possibilities are working as mentors, trainers and facilitators of learning in a diverse range of workplace settings.

About Learning Management (Secondary Vocational Education and Training) (Undergraduate Pathway)

The Bachelor of Learning Management (Secondary Vocational Education and Training) (Undergraduate Pathway) was developed for trade professionals who seek formal teacher registration to educate others about their trade.  This program is most suited to those who want to teach in high schools or industry training centres.

Students are supported by industry-experienced educators – trained to mentor students. These programs are dedicated to the graduation of industry-ready and futures oriented educators.

Note: It is now a requirement of the Commission for Children and Young People that all university students and other volunteers in schools undergo a criminal history check. Therefore it will be necessary for all commencing students to apply for a ‘Suitability Blue Card’ through a nominated person at each campus. The ‘Suitability Blue Card’ remains current for 2 years.

No new enrolments are being taken into this program - it has been replaced by CQ11 Bachelor of Learning Management (Secondary and VET).
