About Railway Engineering
The Centre for Railway Engineering (CRE) in Rockhampton is Australia’s only railway engineering research centre.
This suite of courses in railway signalling is developed by the collaborative Research Centre for Railway Engineering and Technology (RailCRC), which is the peak railway research centre body in Australian, in partnership with the Institution of Railway Signal Engineers IRSE (Australasian section), and is licensed for offer to the Central Queensland University’s Faculty of Engineering & Physical Systems.The program is designed to develop competent and qualified railway signal engineers by providing formal education to new graduates who need to work in the railway signalling discipline.
