The STEPS program helps mature age students develop the skills and confidence needed to start a university degree. Most students who complete STEPS gain entry to CQU or another tertiary institution.
About STEPS
CQU has gained an excellent reputation for its accessibility and support for those who have difficulties gaining entry to university.
STEPS is a preparatory program which was developed to provide a much needed pathway to higher education for mature age students.
Innovation and practicality is the essence of the program, which has been designed to give you the qualifications and confidence desired to begin tertiary study.
The STEPS program is characterised by small classes, group work, cooperative learning and peer support, transformative learning and the challening of worldviews.
