EDED20291 Independent Study

Course details

Under the guidance of a supervisor/adviser, students examine a research problem and/or question in an area of professional interest. This is usually done in the context of practice and students’ work with considerable autonomy on a topic of their choice. The course is normally undertaken after coursework and other core courses just prior to students doing the Professional Practicum. The content of the course may take a variety of forms such as a pilot study, or a research project on a topic of special interest to the student. A program of study is negotiated with the student’s supervisor and must be approved by the Dean.
