MMST11002 Web Design and Development

Course details

This course examines the nature of online culture and community, and provides practical skills in Web design and development. Learn how to build engaging Web sites by applying principles of graphic design, interface design, usability and information architecture. Achieve complete control over your designs and code with a thorough understanding of the Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). Discover how to increase your productivity with the visual layout tools and rapid Web application development features of Macromedia Dreamweaver. Create and optimise Web graphics and animations with either Adobe Photoshop or Macromedia Fireworks. Learn how to add online forms, rollovers and other interactive elements to your Web pages through client-slide scripting in JavaScript. NOTE: Access to a computer with an Internet connection, audio capabilities and a CD-RW drive is a requirement for this course.
