EDVT13009 Managing Vet

Course details

This course extends outcomes from the Assessors and Trainers Category 3 (Diploma Level) Competency Standard (1997). The course requires participants to demonstrate a sound understanding of the implications for training managers and sole providers of quality assurance, occupational health and safety, anti- discrimination legislation and VET accreditation requirements. It also addresses costing training and determining cost to benefit equations. Finally it deals with tendering strategies and with audit accountabilities of registered training organisations. Participants will demonstrate understanding of legal aspects of managing training and apply this understanding to practice in a particular training context. Thus the major assessment item is workplace based.
