HLTH20010 Health Planning, Policy and Evaluation

Course details

The National Health Strategy Review and Primary Health Review conducted in the early 1990s highlighted the need for improved planning and policy formulation. Government policies drive the health system. More and better information systems have improved the feasibility of conducting large scale evaluation studies, and of providing evidence for support policy and planning decisions. Students will gain an understanding of the policy development process. Policy analysis and various techniques for program evaluation will be covered.
