TOUR20003 Sustainable Tourism Development (CU15)

Course details

(For Master of Sustainable Development students) Not offered in 2004. This course investigates the concept of sustainability, and the role of sustainability in tourism development in industrialised and developing nations. Globalisation, dependency theory, the role of governments, community participation, lobby groups are examined as well as the relationship between sustainable tourism development and social, cultural, environmental and economic policy, planning and praxis.
