EDVT10020 Assessment and Evaluation in VET

Course details

This course addresses elements from all the courses of competency included in the Workplace Assessors and Trainers Category 3 (Diploma Level) Competency Standard (1997). Together with the complementary course, Design of VET Programs, this course will enable participants to meet the requirements for the Diploma level of the industry standard (subject to approval of the Accreditation Authority, VETEC). Participants will demonstrate competence in the design, establishment, management, and evaluation of assessment systems, with a focus on achieving validity through the design of assessment instruments and systems, and on ways to demonstrate the reliability, fairness and equity of the administration of assessment instruments and systems. Learning activities will include the evaluation of an existing competency standard, underpinning knowledge about the design and evaluation of assessment instruments and systems, and the establishment and or review, refinement and evaluation of an assessment system in a particular workplace setting.
