Postgraduate Research Scholarships

Australian citizens and permanent residents who have lived in Australia for 12 months may apply for Australian Postgraduate Awards and Australian citizens, permanent residents and New Zealand citizens may apply for University Postgraduate Research Awards. Benefits include a living allowance, relocation and binding allowances and a research support grant. A call for applications is normally made in August/September with applications closing at the end of October each year.

International postgraduate research candidates are eligible to apply for either the International Postgraduate Research Scholarship or the International Postgraduate Research Award. The International Postgraduate Research Scholarship entitles the recipient to full payment of tuition fees and health cover for a specified period. The International Postgraduate Research Award entitles the recipient to a living allowance, relocation and binding allowances and a research support grant, however does not cover tuition fees associated with enrolment. Applications for International awards close at the end of August each year.

All awards are offered primarily on the basis of academic merit.
