WELF19004 Welfare Studies A:Individual Counselling
Course description
Introduction to the welfare profession as a vocation, its purposes and context. Professional values and ethical practices are addressed in the process of individual change and empowerment. Students will also begin the process of personal exploration in this course with an examination of the use of self in a professional relationship, emphasis is placed upon the intensive development of skills through role play and audio- visual assessment.
