STAT13033 Mathematical Statistics
Course description
The aim of this course is to introduce the more commonly used probability distributions, the basics for their correct use as well as further developing inferential statistics. Topics covered are the uses of expectation; binomial, Poisson, Hypergeometric, Normal, Gamma, t, F distributions; techniques for transformation of variables, inferences about means, variances and proportions; contingency tables; simple linear regression; non-parametric statistics.
