SCIE20015 Issues in the Sciences
Course description
This course extends the student's awareness of the sciences as disciplines and how they are interpreted in the media. It provides the opportunity for application of concepts introduced in the communication courses.
Topics will include what is science, history and philosophy of science, health science or technology; science and technology policies or health science policies; cultural and social perspectives; contemporary issues in the sciences; and ethics as they relate to the sciences and technology.
