PHYS13072 Solid State Physics
Course description
To introduce the student to the application of physics to the properties of solids. On completion of the subject, the student should have a broad knowledge of the quantum electronic properties of solids, of their vibrational, magnetic and dielectric properties, and of the factors influencing the choice of materials for specific applications. An introduction to superconductivity is included.
