PHYS13068 Acoustics and Vibrations

Course description

To introduce the student to the principles of noise production, measurement and control and to the characteristics of mechanical vibrations. On completion of the course students should have sufficient knowledge of the theory of acoustics and sufficient skill at using acoustical instrumentation that they can contribute to the measurement and control of noise and vibration and to the improvement of the acoustical environment.
