OCHS20022 Issues in Workplace Health and Safety

Course description

This course integrates topical workplace health and safety issues into the context of previous studies to provide students with skills to analyse, critique and report on current trends in OHS. Topics covered include environmental issues, the development of a system for auditing a variety of occupational settings, accident investigation and analysis using structured techniques, critique of technical papers and the development of a professional academic portfolio. All students are required to attend a compulsory residential school at the CQU Rockhampton campus It is a requirement of this course to have access to the CQU website and the internet.
